Fulham Pier

100 Found Objects is a landmark public artwork by Yinka Ilori for Fulham Pier, celebrating the stories, communities, and hidden histories that shape Fulham’s identity. Spanning the length of Fulham Pier, the installation draws inspiration from objects found along the River Thames, local flora and fauna, and Fulham’s rich heritage of craftsmanship and horticulture.

Combining vibrant illustration, lenticular elements, and sculptural forms, Ilori reimagines found objects such as pipes, jugs, and Delftware through a contemporary lens, inviting visitors to look closer at the histories embedded within everyday items. Botanical references inspired by Fulham Palace’s historic gardens are woven throughout the work alongside plants connected to global trade and diasporic histories, including Grains of Paradise, okra, and cotton.

At its core, 100 Found Objects is an invitation to reflect on connection, memory, and community, transforming Fulham Pier into a space for discovery, exchange, and shared experience along the River Thames.
