The Sound Of Movement

Yinka Ilori collaborated with Fodz Dumbuya and designed the set design for his latest fashion show SS22 titled ‘The Sound Of Movement’. Through ‘The Sound of Movement’ Labrum celebrates the style and culture brought over to Britain in the 1970s by Caribbean and African migrants, which in turn embodies its ‘Designed by an immigrant’ mantra.

Bold, tie-dye prints add pops of color to classic tailored looks, while striking graphics by Yinka Ilori enhance to the collection’s uniqueness. Large celebratory collars compliment African silhouettes with flared sleeves, while the Agbada style is reflected through drop shoulders presented on the Freetown shirt, which arrives in a mix of blues and greens.
