This collection in collaboration with Dunelm celebrates the people, places and stories that shape the objects we live with every day.

When beginning a new collaboration, Yinka Ilori always looks for the common thread between his own practice and that of his partner. What resonated most deeply with Dunelm's history was a shared belief that good design should be accessible, considered and rooted in everyday life. Rather than creating something exclusive or aspirational, the collection explores how design can become part of people's daily rituals and lived experiences.

Inspired by Dunelm's origins in Leicester and its rich textile heritage, the collection pays tribute to the communities whose craftsmanship helped shape the city's manufacturing industry. Research into Leicester's history informed a series of patterns and colour palettes, with floral motifs referencing the national flowers of the African, Caribbean and Asian communities that have contributed to the city's cultural and creative identity.

Spanning furniture, lighting, textiles and home accessories, each piece balances functionality with storytelling. Bold colour, playful forms and thoughtful details invite people to curate spaces that reflect their own identities while celebrating the beauty of shared histories and collective making.

By bringing together craftsmanship, cultural narratives and everyday functionality, the collection honours not only the finished objects, but also the people who make them and the homes in which they become part of daily life.
